Hino Camshaft

Metallurgical Precision: Hino Camshafts for Commercial Truck Engine Components

In the high-mileage duty cycles of Hino Ranger and Dutro fleets, the camshaft dictates engine breathing and fuel efficiency. Ruich Value supplies a wholesale inventory of high-precision Hino Camshafts, designed to resolve maintenance shortages for mixed commercial fleets. Whether you are replacing a worn overhead cam on a J08E engine or overhauling a pushrod-style W06D in a legacy truck, our catalog provides the metallurgical consistency needed to prevent premature lobe wear. Hino’s diverse engine lineup requires specific manufacturing technologies. For modern OHC (Overhead Cam) engines like the P11C and N04C, we offer reinforced assemblies with Induction Hardened Lobes (HRC 55+). This superior surface treatment ensures the cam profile retains its lift and duration specifications even under the high contact stress of roller followers, preventing the valve train noise and power loss associated with inferior aftermarket parts.

Buyer’s Guide: Hino Camshaft Configurations

Cam Architecture Key Engine Models Technical Note
OHC (Overhead Cam) (Roller Follower) J08E, J05E, P11C, E13C Located in the cylinder head. Check for roller follower seizure, which is the #1 cause of cam failure on J-Series.
OHV (Pushrod) (Gear Driven) H07D, W04D, W06D, EH700 Located in the block. Extremely durable design. Focus on cam bushing wear and tappet face pitting.
V-Engine Cam (Heavy Duty) F20C (V10), F21C (V8), EF750 Central camshaft for V-configured engines. Subject to high torsional vibration. Requires precise gear backlash.

Why Source Hino Camshafts from Ruich Value?

  • Induction Hardening: We treat the cam lobes to a depth that allows for superior wear resistance (HRC 55+), protecting against the high contact stress of modern valvetrains.
  • Profile Precision: Our cams are ground on CNC Landis machines to exact OEM lift and duration specs, ensuring correct injector timing and valve overlap for optimal combustion.
  • Gear Quality: For gear-driven cams (like H07D), we ensure the helical gears are precision-machined to mesh perfectly with the crankshaft gear, preventing gear whine.
  • Inventory Depth: We stock both the popular J-Series and hard-to-find V-Engine (F20C/EF750) camshafts, supporting diverse fleet requirements.
  • Secure Packaging: Each camshaft is coated in anti-rust oil and suspended in reinforced crates to prevent surface damage during global shipping.

Technical FAQ: Hino Camshafts

Q1: Why do J08E camshafts fail?

The most common cause is roller follower failure. If the roller bearing on the rocker arm seizes, it drags across the cam lobe, destroying the hardened surface. We strongly recommend replacing the Rocker Arm Assembly when installing a new J08E camshaft.

Q2: Are H07C and H07D camshafts interchangeable?

No. While the engines look similar, the valve timing profiles and lift specifications are different to match the different combustion chamber designs. Always match the specific OEM Part Number (e.g., 13511-1790 for H07D).

Q3: Does the camshaft come with the gear?

Most of our Hino camshafts are sold as “Bare Shafts”. The timing gear is a precision-fitted component that is often reusable. If your gear is damaged, please request a gear set separately or check if a “Loaded Camshaft” option is available.
