Why is my Isuzu 4HK1 turbo leaking oil into the intake?

Diagnosis: Oil leakage usually indicates worn dynamic seals or excessive crankcase pressure (blow-by). On Isuzu NPR trucks, a clogged oil drain pipe often forces oil past the turbine seals. Solution: Ensure your oil drain is clear. If the shaft has axial play, the seals are compromised. Our replacement RHF55 turbos feature upgraded step-gap seals to provide a superior oil barrier under varying boost pressures.

Does the Hitachi ZX200 6HK1 turbo require an electronic actuator?

Diagnosis: This depends on the Tier rating of the engine. Early 6HK1 engines use a simple pneumatic wastegate, while Tier 3/4 engines (ZX200-3) utilize an electronic actuator for precise boost mapping. Solution: We supply both versions. Our electronic actuators are pre-calibrated to communicate perfectly with the Isuzu ECM, preventing “boost pressure out of range” fault codes.

Can I install a 6BG1T turbo on a naturally aspirated 6BG1?

Diagnosis: While the mounting holes may match, the internal engine components (pistons and oil pump) are different. Solution: Turbocharging an NA 6BG1 without upgrading fuel delivery and oil cooling will lead to melted pistons. For genuine turbo-spec 6BG1T engines used in JCB or Hitachi machinery, we offer a high-flow RHG6 assembly specifically optimized for industrial torque curves.
