Why is my Mitsubishi L200 blowing excessive blue smoke?

Blue smoke under acceleration is a primary indicator of dynamic oil seal failure within the TF035 turbocharger. What is the difference between the TF035HM-12T and the TD04-9B for the 4D56?

While both bolt to the 4D56 manifold, they are fundamentally different inside. The TD04-9B has a much smaller compressor wheel (approx. 34.6mm inducer) suited for older ~90HP models. The TF035HM-12T (49135-02652) features a larger 37.8mm inducer compressor wheel designed specifically for the higher air-mass requirements of the later 115HP intercooled L200 Triton and Pajero Sport models. They cannot be swapped without ECU tuning.

Must I replace the oil feed line when installing the new 49135-02652 turbo?
