Maximize your industrial fleet adaptability with this heavy-duty Mitsubishi 6D16/6D16T cylinder head (OEM: ME993502). Cast from high-density HT250 iron, it resists the severe thermal deck warping common in long inline-6 diesel engines. It guarantees a perfect fit for Fuso Fighter logistics trucks and Kobelco SK250/SK300 excavators. Available now for global export solutions
The Mitsubishi 6D16 and its turbocharged sibling, the 6D16T, are monumental 7.5L inline-6 diesel engines that serve as the backbone of mid-to-heavy commercial transport and heavy excavation. Found in everything from the tireless Fuso Fighter truck series to heavy-duty Kobelco crawler excavators and Kato mobile cranes, these engines are tasked with moving extreme payloads. However, the immense physical length of an inline-6 cylinder head makes it inherently susceptible to thermal distortion. Under the continuous high heat generated by turbocharging and direct injection, standard castings frequently warp or develop thermal fatigue cracks between the valve ports, leading to devastating coolant leaks and compression loss.
Ruich Value provides a definitive metallurgical upgrade for these punishing environments. Our ME993502 replacement cylinder heads are manufactured from a specialized HT250-grade cast iron alloy. This superior casting dramatically improves thermal conductivity and structural rigidity across the entire length of the deck, effectively neutralizing the warping issues that plague aging 6D16T engines. Furthermore, we precision-machine the deck to a strict flatness tolerance of ≤ 0.05 mm and subject every unit to 3MPa pressure testing. Whether you are overhauling a commercial trucking fleet or restoring a heavy excavator, our cylinder head guarantees a permanent, blow-out-proof seal.

Excavators place continuous, heavy hydraulic loads on the engine. Because the 6D16 is a long inline-6 block, it experiences significant thermal expansion from front to back. If the cooling system is compromised, or if the engine is shut down too quickly while hot, the long cylinder head will warp, breaking the gasket seal. Our high-density iron casting resists this distortion far better than standard replacement heads.
Generally, yes. The ME993502 is manufactured to meet the higher thermal and pressure demands of the turbocharged 6D16T. This makes it an excellent, heavy-duty upgrade for naturally aspirated 6D16 engines as well, providing identical fitment with vastly improved durability.
The 7.5L inline-6 requires precise, staged torquing starting from the center and working outward in a spiral pattern to prevent deck distortion. Final torque specs usually reach 175-185 Nm (approx. 130 ft-lb). Because of the extreme clamping force required on this long deck, reusing old, stretched head bolts will inevitably lead to a blown head gasket. Always use new bolts.
Yes, our bare cylinder head castings (including the ME993502) typically come with the valve guides and valve seats pre-installed and precision-machined. This allows your engine builder to immediately begin lapping in the new valves, saving crucial workshop machining time.
