The S6S is a long inline-6 block. In heavy forklift applications like the DP50, engines often idle for long periods and then are subjected to sudden, massive hydraulic lifts. This erratic thermal cycling causes the front and rear of the long cylinder head to expand and contract unevenly. If the radiator is clogged with job-site dust, the head will warp.
