The Toyota 4K camshaft (OEM: 13501-13010) is a premium chilled cast iron camshaft featuring a classic OHV 8V pushrod design.
It resolves flat tappet lobe wear and fits Corolla KE70, LiteAce KM30, and Toyota Forklift applications.
In stock for global export.
The Toyota K-series engines, particularly the 1.3L 4K gasoline engine, are globally recognized for their bulletproof reliability in early passenger cars and industrial equipment. Operating at the core of this dependable OHV 8V platform, the Toyota Kijang 4K camshaft (OEM 13501-13010) is positioned deep within the engine block. It drives the solid lifters, pushrods, and rocker arms, ensuring precise valve actuation for classic platforms like the Corolla KE70 and heavy-duty Toyota forklift camshaft replacements.
Due to the high friction characteristics inherent to older in-block cam designs, poor oil quality or a lack of ZDDP (zinc) additives often leads to accelerated flat tappet lobe wear. To combat this, our OHV 8V pushrod camshaft is forged from chilled cast iron and undergoes a strict nitriding process, achieving a lobe hardness of HRC 45-55. This upgraded metallurgy permanently addresses the infamous 4K engine ticking noise and prevents the valvetrain chatter associated with degraded cam profiles.
As a premier supplier of classic car restoration parts and Southeast Asia Toyota parts, we maintain strict manufacturing tolerances to ensure exact factory timing. Whether you are rebuilding a LiteAce KM30 delivery van or restoring a Starlet KP61, our wholesale 4K engine parts guarantee long-term durability and restored volumetric efficiency for your vintage or industrial Toyota engines.

The 4K uses an OHV flat tappet design which naturally experiences high friction at the cam-to-lifter interface. Using modern engine oils that lack sufficient ZDDP (zinc) additives accelerates this metal-on-metal wear. As the lobes flatten, valve lift decreases and the resulting slack in the valvetrain creates a distinct ticking noise. Upgrading to our chilled cast iron camshaft paired with high-zinc oil prevents future degradation.
No, they are not interchangeable. While they belong to the same Toyota K-series family, the 1.3L 4K uses OEM 13501-13010 (or 13501-13011), whereas the larger 1.5L 5K engine uses OEM 13501-13012. The 5K camshaft features a different lobe profile and timing specifications designed for higher displacement. Installing the wrong camshaft will lead to poor idling and loss of power.
When installing the 4K camshaft, the cold valve clearance must be adjusted via the rocker arms to 0.20 mm (0.008 in) for intake valves and 0.30 mm (0.012 in) for exhaust valves. Additionally, secure the rocker arm shaft support bolts to a torque of 18 Nm (13 ft·lb). We highly recommend installing new solid lifters along with the new camshaft to ensure the mating surfaces break in properly.
